The Los Angeles Firemen’s Relief Association has been supporting Los Angeles City Firefighters since 1906. They provide various programs and assistance to firefighters and their families, founded on the principle of “firefighters helping firefighters.” Some benefits they offer include self-funded medical plans, life and accident funds, compensation for off-duty injuries, death benefits, estate planning reimbursements, and assistance through the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen’s Fund during times of financial hardship or crisis.
